Victor Teng works on a variety of mapping projects throughout southwestern Wisconsin, including online railroad asset mapping, updating and creating interactive maps, and other geospatial analyses required by our partners.
Prior to joining SWWRPC, Victor worked as a mapping technician at Pitney Bowes, and interned for the National Park Services at the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve in Florida to develop park maps. Before entering the job market, he earned his Master of Science in Natural Resources and Environmental Management from the University of Hawaii, Manoa. He is strongly interested in the application of the geospatial analysis and cartography for regional development and the potential for reaching broader audiences with maps.
Victor was born in Taipei, Taiwan, moved to California in 2002, earned his Bachelors of Art in anthropology from the University of California, Davis and served in Americorps for two terms at Desert Restoration Corps and Montana Conservation Corps. He has extended experiences in volunteerism, mapping, and environmental management.
Victor’s hobbies include reading, traveling, volunteerism, and learning anything new about Wisconsin.
