Phyllis Fritsch provides economic development assistance to the City of Dodgeville. This includes business retention and expansion, as well as recruitment of new business into the City. Economic development is provided since 2016 to the City through their contract with Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission.
Having been born and raised in Iowa County, WI, as well as working nearly her entire career in the City of Dodgeville, Phyllis is very passionate about the City and its citizens. She begins her meetings with “The Good Things Happening in the City of Dodgeville,” and advocates for Dodgeville and its businesses.
Prior to providing economic development assistance, she was in mid-management at Upland Hills Health Hospital, Nursing Home, Home Health and Hospice, until she was named as the Administrator and subsequently CEO for the last nine years of her career there. At the time she was named Administrator, Upland Hills also included CrestRidge Assisted Living, Durable Medical Equipment and Dialysis. During this time, she was a member of the Iowa County Area Economic Development Board, and by way of history has served on two hospital boards, as well as on several other boards and organizations. She currently is a member of the Iowa County Cancer Coalition Board.
When not working, she is volunteering one day a week at Upland Hills Health and playing the organ at the Edmund Evangelical Free Church. She quilts, scrapbooks and gardens in her spare time, and enjoys family as often as possible.
